Tisha’s Thoughts on Global Volunteer
Tisha, a past participant, shared her inspiring journey as a Global Volunteer in Slovakia,
“I was initially hesitant about traveling to Slovakia alone, unsure of what to expect. When I arrived, I feared I wouldn’t connect with people, but soon realized I was overthinking. The locals were welcoming, and I quickly felt at ease. In just a few weeks, I had the chance to explore Slovakian culture, visit local spots, and connect with fellow exchange participants from Brazil, Greece, Malaysia, Serbia, and Turkey. Though I was nervous at first, I’m grateful I pushed through my fears—it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life,” said Tisha.
AIESEC Universitas Indonesia’s Global Volunteer program continues to foster a spirit of global citizenship and social responsibility, inspiring the next generation of leaders to make a difference in the world.
