Bandung, 26 October 2024 — AIESEC in Bandung successfully held the Impact Circle 2024 on 12 October 2024 at the West Java Provincial Library and Archives Office (DISPUSIPDA) in Bandung. This event wrapped in theme called Moving Forward with ‘IDEA’ (Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) and focused on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 8.2, which aims to boost economic growth and productivity while encouraging innovation. This goal highlights the importance of creating a more inclusive workforce, promoting both economic progress and resilience. By supporting diversity, businesses can benefit from a range of talents, ideas, and perspectives, which strengthens their adaptability and long-term success.
Impact Circle 2024 by AIESEC in Bandung Roll Dance
In Indonesia, many organizations still face challenges in making diversity a priority, despite government efforts to promote it. The IDEA (Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) event aimed to address these issues, showing how inclusive business practices can drive sustainability and innovation. Embracing diversity enables Indonesian businesses to stay competitive and responsive in a rapidly changing world.
Held at DISPUSIPDA, the IDEA event brought together participants and industry leaders to discuss the importance of workplace diversity. The event began with welcoming remarks from hosts Alvino Raditya Taher and Dhara Nabila, who emphasized the need for inclusivity and diversity in today’s work environments.
Breaking the Stereotypes: We ALL Can Do It!
The first seminar, titled “Breaking the Stereotypes: We ALL Can Do It!”, was led by Editor in Chief of KBR Media Citra Dyah Prastuti. Citra explained how stereotypes often limit personal and professional growth and can harm organizational performance by blocking creativity. Participants were encouraged to see the value of diverse talents and perspectives for building an inclusive work culture. During this session, delegates engaged in discussions about the stereotypes that often act as barriers to personal and professional growth, particularly in relation to gender, ethnicity, religion, and societal roles.
Prospering Your Business with Different Perspectives
Following this, Community and Communication Officer at Future Lestari Bulan Setiawan, hosted a session titled “Prospering Your Business with Different Perspectives”. Bulan explained that diverse viewpoints enhance business outcomes, especially for young entrepreneurs and startups. She emphasized that valuing diversity is essential for growth and innovation, as outlined in SDG 8.2.
Interactive Workshops
Interactive workshops were also held, including a podcast class by KBR Media on the theme “Indonesia Baik”. This workshop taught participants about creating content that embraces diversity, focusing on topics like religion, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality. It highlighted the responsibility of content creators to foster understanding and respect, supporting a culture of inclusivity in line with SDG 8’s goals.
A key highlight was the Mini Hackathon by Future Lestari, featuring the Business Thinker Power Hour. This session encouraged participants to develop innovative business solutions aligned with the SDGs. The hands-on activities enhanced problem-solving skills and inspired new ways of thinking to support inclusivity in business practices.

Vice President of Local Projects and Incoming Global Volunteer of AIESEC in Bandung Nadiera Putri Ellyana, led an SDG session, where she discussed AIESEC’s commitment to SDG 8 and the importance of youth engagement in promoting inclusive growth. Nadiera inspired participants to use their skills to drive positive change in their communities.

The event also featured a session with CEO of PT Qwords Company International Rendy Maulana Akbar, who shared real-life examples and strategies for promoting inclusivity in his company. Kanvas Bercerita Rasa Awarding Night
The event concluded with an awarding night celebrating the day’s accomplishments. A highlight was the illustration competition, Kanvas Bercerita Rasa, which invited artists to capture the theme of diversity and inclusion. Khairun Nawaf won the grand prize for an artwork that reflected the event’s message.
