Bandung, 24th December 2024 — Little Phoenix Summit by AIESEC in Bandung successfully took place at Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Jawa Barat. This event was marking the culmination of the Join AIESEC 2024 process held from June to December 2024. The summit brought together around 80 probies who experienced their first conference as an AIESECer. The event fostered collaboration and engagement between probies and current AIESEC members through various interactive agendas aimed at introducing the workflow of AIESEC.
Opening Ceremony: Joyful Start with Unity and Spirit
The summit opened with enthusiasm led by the Master of Ceremonies, Sheryl Ghefira (Sheryl) and Yulinar Fachriny (Inay). The session kicked off with three roll dances, where probies and current members joined hands to dance together, creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and energy as participants shared this lively moment.
Following the opening, Nicholas Perdana, the newly elected Local Committee President (LCPe), delivered an inspiring speech, expressing his gratitude and hope for the future of AIESEC in Bandung. Additionally, Andriana Anjani, the current Local Committee Vice President (LCVP) of Talent Management, explained the Management Board (MB) and General Board (GB) recruitment process to prepare probies for their next steps within AIESEC.
Functional Track: Specialized Learning and Practical Experience
The summit’s main agenda, the functional track, aimed to provide probies with an in-depth understanding of their functional preferences. Probies were assigned to their second-choice functionals, where they spent three hours learning workflows, receiving training, and practicing real-life tasks guided by current mentors and members.
Brand Marketing Functional Track session
In the Brand Marketing track, mentors introduced the functional structure, explaining the sub-functions of Product Marketing, Brand Management, EwA Marketing, and ELD Marketing. To energize the session, participants played engaging games such as blind karaoke and guess the song, fostering fun and camaraderie among probies and mentors.
The session then moved to a hands-on activity where probies worked on creating marketing strategies for two AIESEC products: AIESEC Future Leaders and Outgoing Global Talent. Probies pitched their strategies to mentors and members and earned sign-up points for their efforts.
Interactive Games and Team Bonding
After the functional track, all probies reconvened for a series of group games led by Safadena Khansa (Dena) and Nurzazilah Sunyoto (Haliza). In the first game, participants were grouped based on specific keywords provided by Dena and Haliza. The second game, “Medusa,” involved participants forming a circle and being eliminated if they made eye contact after hearing a designated keyword.
Through these games, the participants experienced strengthened team spirit and formed closer bonds in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Following the engaging activities, the session concluded with Rewards and Recognition, where participants celebrated the Best Outfit and Best Delegates.
Closing Ceremony: Euphoria and Gratitude
The summit concluded on a high note with a jamming session led by Zifora, where probies and members sang together, creating an atmosphere of euphoria and unity. The event officially wrapped up the Join AIESEC 2024 process, celebrating the probies’ journey and growth.
A New Generation Ready for the Future
The Little Phoenix Summit provided probies with opportunities to collaborate, learn, and prepare for their roles as future AIESEC leaders. The event marked a significant step in nurturing probies to become true, prepared AIESECer for the upcoming term. With high hopes and renewed enthusiasm, AIESEC in Bandung looks forward to soaring to greater heights in the coming year!
