Work Life Balance

Work-life balance is a situation in which a person can manage their time among work and personal life. Work-life balance is essential because it affects our work, and can make us more productive because we can separate between job and personal life. Not only that: it’s also good for our mental health.

Based on a report from stress.org, 40% of workers reported their job was very or extremely stressful, 25% view their jobs as the number one stressor in their lives, 75% of employees believe that workers have more on-the-job stress than a generation ago, 29% of workers felt quite a bit or extremely stressed at work, 26% of workers said they were “often or very often burned out or stressed by their work.”

That is a very considerable number. So, what can we do? Surprise… work-life balance can be the solution to this problem.

Work-life balance is not only a matter of our health and relationship, but also increases our workplace productivity. These are the benefits you can get from a work-life balance.

Improve work performance

By separating between work and personal life, we can focus more on doing our work and have a lot of energy. By putting the energy on the right thing, the result will also turn out to be better!

Less Burnout

Work-life balance can decrease stress in the workplace because you manage your time by not doing everything simultaneously, and instead focusing on doing it one by one. Not forcing yourself to do everything at once can help you avoid burnout, so it’s good for your long-time productivity!

Fewer Health Problems

Work-life balance creates a healthy work pace for you, so you don’t need to think about your job more than necessary nor sleep late to finish your work. You manage your time of when you should rest and when you shouldn’t. This means less chance of getting disease or problems that are caused by stress, lack of sleep, or unhealthy eating habits.

Now it’s your turn, and remember this, you must prioritize your health (physically and mentally) by working healthily.
